I had to go to London for a few days to do a bit of decorating at my daughters flat and so we took the opportunity to have a day at Kew. It was cold and overcast and a bit early but well worth it. Here are first of all some of the buildings the Victorian Palm house(sorry about the angle)
a Victorian folly surrounded by daffodils
The Princess of Wales Glass house (opened by Diana)
there is always a magnificent orchid display in that house at this time of year which attracts thousands of visitors
the Pagoda

The alpine house and some flowers The alpine house is a wonderful new design but they seem to have forgotten to leave room for many plants inside it.It seems to be all concrete path and little beds.
Part of the crocus lawn, large vulgar dutch hybrids(does this make me a total snob)
winter aconites
two tropical rhododendrons in the temperate house. These alone make it worthwhile suffering on the underground to get there

Nice photos Tony. I especially like the daffodils. We have never been to Kew but I've always wanted to go. It must be a nice treat for you after all that decorating.

By the amount of pictures Tony, I would say you left the Mrs. to the decorating and you skipped out for a walk... Thanks for sharing the pictures.
