Wow how unique! I'd love to see a photo of the entire plant when it gets a little bigger.

All I could find about this beautiful fuchsia in my books or on my fuchsia-CD: nothing! But I once had NETTALA, who had the same strange corrola... But different in any other way. I should like to have this one in my collection! Gerda

Beautiful Dianne, I think it is similar to one here called 'Mutant', appropriately named as those little petals are called 'petaloids' which means 'Diminutive petals, within the main petals'. Another one with petaloids is one called 'Excalibur'.

I bought a Rose Quartet earlier this year. It has gotten quite bushy but jut now is getting buds. Good to see what I have coming.

In my search for more info on this fuchsia I came across the following links. Looks like it is very newly registered, but I am finding a lot of sources for it especially on the West Coast. http://www.planthaven.com/fuchrose.htm http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/life/atoz/article_1121272.php

Unusual to have a fuschia that holds the blossom upright. Being hardy to Zone 8 is a plus here also. While the article said shade; I've had mine in almost full sun all summer. A very impressive display with flush after flush of blooms.
