Both great Specie specimens Richard. I've just purchased half a dozen new ones, will post pictures later on in the season when they flower. I'm also a lover of fuchsias and perennials, you can see them in 'My Garden' in the Galleries. - Kath :-)

Very interesting cultivar. Don't thing I have ever seen a fuchsia with blossom clusters.

Hi DW, It's commonly known as the 'Lilac fuchsia', when all the little blossoms are open it does look similar to lilac, also very easy to grow, becomes a very large bush
