I got seeds for penstemon hartwegii giganteous and firecracker penstemon eatonii off of eBay last year and started seeds via the winter sowing technique. I got quite a few seedlings to germinate but then when I transplanted them out, I lost track of what is what. Here are two pictures. Can you help me identify them Kath or have you ever heard of these varieties before?

Hi Miguel, you say two, do you mean the purple and red, because if the salmon pink one on the right is a penstemon that looks like one of the barbatus varieties because of its shark like head

Kath, the salmony colored plant is an agastache rupestris. The two penstemons are the reddish ones and the purple one that has not yet opened.

Thanks Miguel, then the red one is Firecracker and the purple one is hartwegii (there are other variants of this one)
