go to www.pioneerthinking.com/lavender.html. I have been trying to grow lavender myself but they take a long time to germinate.I planted my seeds in February and still nothing. You may have better luck with it than me.By the way, vraie means "true'or "real',Vivace means "durable,long-lived"

Glad you got some help Yasmeen. I am just too busy at the moment to get on here much. Mine selfseed and a plant big enough to sustain some flowers take about two years here. Might be a lot quicker for you as you do not get frost.

Good luck with your lavender seeds, looks like you got some English lavender. Lavenders may not like a humid climate, make sure to plant them somewhere well drained and not too moist.

Lavande vraie means true lavender, so I would assume it is Lavandula officinalis or species English lavender. Vivace means it is perennial. Sounds like just what you want.
