Here is a bit of a difficult one - does anyone know if white clary sage will grow true from seed? I have both the normal and white varieties, maybe 7 metres/yards apart, and I have collected and planted the white seed separately, hoping to get a supply of white clary. I am worried I will get normal clary or a mixture, has anyone done this experiment before me?

I think the mixture is the most probable. I have no experience with sages but I do have some with Lathyrus odoratus. I used to receive mixtures until I covered the parent plants with anti-moskito net.

I've only raised one from seed so far, not what you would call a statistically relevant sample, and it isn't flowering yet, I haven't even planted it out. Will try some more seed soon.
