Lavender and Rosemary

Author Message   Cahenry  Posted on Sunday, November 24, 2002 - 09:27 am:    These guys are growing through the fence to the east side - like that morning sun. I have had the best luck growing these in cinder blocks. LOL Lavender that was planted in my front sunny bed didn't do as well. I believe it suffered from watering other nearby plants to get them established their first year. From now on its strictly raised beds with really sharp draining for these Mediterranean plants. I grow lavender as a short hedge and it does better some years than others. As for rosemary, I have a huge plant that was a gift and which spends summers outside in the vegetable garden.
