I have a photobucket account and some time I will love to share some of my photos
But for some reason I can't seems to grasped it eventhough I was told already how.

Can someone help me out please
Tell me the steps to take so that I can get my photos on.
Thanks in adavance
Much Appreciated

Hi, Bernice! I'll say welcome to GB, even though you've been here a while and I may have said it once before already. LOL!

When you login to your Photobucket account, you'll see different links below each of your images. You'll want to copy the text in the box identified as "Direct Link". (Apparently, clicking in the box automatically copies the text.)

photobucket

Then you just paste it in your message along with the code that will display it in your message, like this:

\imagelink{http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa142/ringofstars/unknowninsect-greenheadthorax.jpg}

The line above displays my pic, like this:

I think there may be other ways to do it, too. Someone else may come along and mention them.

I guess I should have mentioned that in its simplest form, GB's code for including your image from Photobucket looks like this:

\imagelink{}

You type that code yourself and then just paste whatever the url of your image is in between the {}.

Hope that helps. Good luck and happy image posting!

sounds like DJ hit the nail on the head.

I would add that if you do not want to type the \imagelink bla bla bla, you can click on the 3rd icon from the right "INSERT A PHOTO INTO YOUR POST" (its just left of the little rose icon right above where you type your post) it will open a box where you can paste the url of your photo that you just copied from your site.

Let us know how it goes and Welcome to GB!
