Use the resize your photo button (600 pixels is the most popular), then save it to your computer and insert resized pic as an attachment.

There is a great photo resizer right here at GB -
you can browse images directly from your 'puter.

I also use the resize feature at photobucket
(where I store photos online),
or even "edit -> image -> stretch/skew"
in my Windows XP Paint program.
