Yeap, really that yellow. Cross breeding can of course change the color of the flower. They will never turn out like the original. I receive my corms from a heme breeder and they are his originals with the hybridizers name. The minute this flower is grown from seed or is being cross pollinated it can not carry the original name any further since the genes have changed from what the hybridizer intended.
The price of my corms range from $ 10.00 to
$ 15.00 for a strong, healthy corm.

Yes i know that the seeds will never come true from seed only from the daylily root! It must just be the lighting or the camera that make it look so yellow. The second picture looks more creamy and not so yellow!
Ive never heard them called corms before...those are more of a bulb. Daylily fans have a root system.
The Daylily Eureka Price guide has them listed from 8-12.00 Id sell mine for 8.00 ;)
My second picture is a seedling I have growing here in Michigan. I love making my own new daylilies. Have many new seedlings growing under lights here and waiting for the weather to break so they can go to the GH. I cant wait for spring to see all the new seedlings in bloom from last yrs plantings!!!
This is a seedling can you guess what parent she is favoring?Plant Forum

I am sorry that the colors don't seem right. I only post what I takewith my digi. I do not edit my pictures for color. The reason why the colors are sometimes different is because of the way the light hits them. As you can see on my date , the photos were taken July the 17. and the second Heme was taken July 22. Different days, different light situations. Personally I love the Border Patrol and had many Kudos from my other garden forum where I am a member.
I love all your Lilies , you are no doubt a master in raising Lilies from seed.
I apologize profusely for wrongly using the term "corm" , it was an oversight on my part. The term I should have used is of course "roots." I receive my Daylily's in form of bare roots. If you click on the address I added you can see the roots depicted in their catalog, the way the send them out.
I am the same like you, can't wait for spring to see the many different faces of my Daylily's either.

NO apology needed, just was trying to set you straight on roots and corms-LOL

CBPatrol was one of my first daylilies long ago and still is very pretty blooming. But i have added 100s of new one since those days! I have so many favz now......Plant Forumthis is Judge Lane Bearden
