Beautiful, Calendula. Is "Cocktail Date" really that true pink? I've tried for years to find a really pink daylily, and all of them so far are peach.

Hello LoveInLife; yes the Daylily's I post are the way I have photographed them. Our son, who works for Nikon and is studied in camera work told me years ago that : early in the morning is "golden hour" for photography. The hot sun during the day reflect's to much heat on the flower and you can't get the true colors.

If you like, have a look in this nursery web site. I get all my Daylily's from there.
When in, click on "english" and then to the left, bottom on Diagram. You can then view one daylily after another , click to enlarge, click to go "next" .
Having said that, would you like me to save some seed from that particulare Heme? Just P.M. me.

Thanks for the preview of daylilies to come. Mine are up and looking healthy and I can't wait to see some new varieties that haven't bloomed yet.

Thanks for the cheery sight of your lovely daylilies and I particularly like the one called 'brocaded gown'.......it looks like it is chartreuse green.....is it really?

Hello; Yes it's rather wonderful on how we all fancy our own type of Dailily's , personally I like the two toned ones and the deep pink's and even now oranges.
However the "Brocaded Gown" lives up to it's name ,the texture of the flower petals resemble closely that of brocaded fabric. The color in Nature is actually pure deep yellow. It think the green tinge just happened in photography. Thank you all for commenting.

My favorite here is Alexadra Christine. she is pretty as an orchid! I also have Siloam David Kirchoff and planted that one in last year. This one has not bloomed for me yet but anxious to see the first flowering now this spring. We still have a possible two months of winter yet in ND :-(
Thanks for sharing the photos.

Thank you Butterscotch. I like A. Christine too, but then I love them all. I get the feeling though that most people like the more subdued shades on the Daylilies. That is very interesting.
