I started some seeds awhile ago, I noticed that so far 4 have germinated. I have them marked as a tiny red spider. It will be interesting to see what they look like next summer. I uncovered my daylily's that I planted last fall. They still had yellow fans from last fall, so I cut them off, and I see new growth growing up from where I cut them. When I had covered them with leaves, I didn't wait for the frost to kill back the fans. I think I recall reading, that your suppose to let the frost kill the leaves, then cover them up, but I didn't want to chance losing them.

I have 12 that germinated and looks like many more still to pop up. I took this picture right before I took the germinated seeds out and transplanted them. I used small throw away plastic cups.

When you transplant daylily seedlings, is the seed coat part suppose to be just under the soil, or on top on the soil? I put mine just under the soil.

Added a couple more to my collection. I wanted some lavender/blue hue Dips for some crosses I had in mind. In the fall I think I will pick up Lavender Blue Baby. Received my Bella Sera fan, looking forward to seeing it flowering. Lavender White Eyes

Well my Bella Sera has a scape. I can see three flower buds forming so far. I wasn't sure if I was going to see flowers this year or not. I Can't wait to play and dab pollen.

What cross did you pickup of Bella Sera? I had found a site, where there are siblings pictures of different crosses, including Bella Sera. It was interesting to see how different they are, even though they are the same cross. If I can find it, I will post a link. Heres a picture of my Bella Sera. As you can see it already had a scape, and was cut before sending. So that is why I wasn't sure if I was going to see some flowers. The fan came from Florida, as you can see it's very big, and the scapes are huge. I put it into a pot, because I will be bringing it inside come winter, hoping for it to increase fans. They next summer, I will put a fan into the ground and see if it's hardy here.

Bella Sera opened today. My camera is very old. It isn't able to pickup the blue halo, and the diamond dusting and over all color. I wonder if Tet. Lavender Blue Baby, would give Bella Sera a much better blue halo/eye. Maybe I can save enough and pick it up in the Fall.
