My last year's babies are growing well, but I see no scapes yet. Still hoping to see something later. I'm only a zone 4b, but we did have an early Spring this year.

Janet, thanks. The flower has a scent much like a lilac, just a hint, no wheres as strong. I selfed pollinated both flowers, I was going to put Always Lovely on them(only other pollen I have), but then thought It might be interesting to see what crossing itself makes. I did have another flower on Always Lovely, that I did pollinate with Bella Sera. My self attempted on Always Lovely didn't take. I'm saving all the pollen from Bella Sera that I can, and going to put it on every flower. I have scapes on my Royal Braid fans and Canadian Bordor Patrol. Nothing on Strawberry Fields Forever yet, I hope it flowers. Too bad, there wasn't a place where you could purchase pollen of the more expensive ones.

I saved Bella Sera pollen, and put it on all my Tets. This is suppose to be Royal Braid, looks like Awesome Blossom to me?
A better picture of Always Lovely, I wonder what Bella Sera kids will turn out like?

A better picture of James Marsh, even though this is an older daylily, I bet Bella Sera will do wonders to it.

Janet, just having fun. I think I may have some pretty babies in the future. I have some pods, its been about 50% hit/miss. Hopefully in another month or so I will get rebloom scapes. My Clothed In Glory, Strawberry Fields Forever, Mildred Mitchell, Destined To See, and Druids Chant havent flowered, not sure they will either. I was really looking forward to crossing those to Bell Sera. I have 4 pods on Always Lovely X Bella Sera and 5 pods on Royal Braid-Awesome Blossom x Bella Sera. Most of the others also have 2-5 pods, but still have flowers to come. Any extra seed I don't have room for I will stick up on the Lily auction. I really only have room for maybe 10 seeds of each Bella Sera cross that I did. Plus I have alot of dip crosses, that I will be growing as well.

Well all in all I did ok getting pods to set. I was hoping for more pods. I had a set back, 1 packet of Bella Sera pollen that I had saved and stored in the freezer, wasn't any good. I wasted 12-15 flowers, thinking it was just the weather. I then went back to an older packet, and sure enough I was able to get pods to set again. Good news, I have around 50 seeds each of Always Lovely x Bella sera and Awesome Blossom(Druid Chant) X Bella Sera. Most of my other Bella's crosses I made I have around 15-25 seeds. I have a feeling the Paper Butterfly cross might make something very interesting. James Marsh only had 1 pod and it had 3 seeds. I'm hoping for a nice white outer edge.

Sounds like you had a good year. I did not get all the crosses that I set or wanted . I wanted Sebastian the Crab and Fluttering Beauty crosses and they just would not take on the lilies I wanted them too..I did get a couple,I think but not the ones I really wanted.Oh well I had a great year for seedlings so I am happy.

I made a mistake on my last post. I meant to put (Royal Braid) instead of Druid's Chant. Lioneve, are you crossing dip's to dip's and tet's to tet's? Some unknowns that I wasn't sure on, I would try dip pollen on one flower, then put tet on another, wait a couple days and see what takes. I have an unknown peach and a red daylily that I put Bella Sera pollen on, I think I have maybe 30-40 seeds of each. It will be interesting to see the outcome.

I collected , Simply Sensational X Bella Sera pods. I had two pods of this cross, and had a total of 9 seeds. The pods were very small, but the seeds were large. I only have a hand full of pods still to collect.

I wasn't sure if I was going to buy any daylily's this fall, but I couldn't pass up another try at Royal Braid. Six fans for $13! Judging by the sellers photo, looks like the real deal. I may pickup one or two more from the same seller, to make out better on the shipping.

Notmartha, nice. I received my fans today. I always wonder if the seller is going to send nice fans or not. Well not only did I receive nice fans, but Royal Braid has 7 fans, Unchartered Waters 5 fans, and Voices In Fog also has 5 fans, talk about getting a deal on these.
