Some of the seedlings that I grew in the basement. Out of 150,I had 7 to bloom this fall,10 months old. Have been busy, planted 65 seedlings the other day. I have 1 more seedling to bloom and makes me sad the season is so short.

Beautiful seedlings, Janet. I think that second one should be called "Impossible Ruffles." I don't think I've ever seen so many ruffles on one daylily.

Lovely indeed, Janet! I second 'Impossible Ruffles' too, lol! Funny summer we had here...Cool and rainy...not a single fall bloom on my seedlings... On the opposite, 'Joan Senior' and 'Little Sweet Sue', did send off a couple of new blooming scapes for the first time in their life here...go figure!

Hey Lovinlife, I love that name and am going to use it for this lily. They say lilies improve in the 2nd. and third year, so I am hoping for even bigger ruffles next year. Thank you for a beautiful name. "Impossible Ruffles " it is. Thanks again Janet

Well I'm very complimented, Janet. Now you have to let me know when it's available so I can buy one (or 40, LOL).

Yes, Janet beautiful ruffles. None bloomed for me, so here's hoping for next year. Don't we always seem to be wishing our life away.

Isn't 10 months to bloom fast?

I hate that the gardens are going to bed to-fall yuck! The seedlings are pretty my choice is the second one! Here is one of my favorite seedlings, its toothy and northern hardy!

Here in the north I think 10 months is very fast,at least for me. From what I read in the warmer states and with a green house it is pretty common, I also think think that it depends on the lily. This is just my experience here in Ohio but I am happy with just a couple that bloom so fast.I have already got around 150 coming up for spring planting and as usual don't have any idea where I will find room to plant. one of my favorite seedlings this year.
