I didn't plant this but now I have it popping up everywhere. I pull out most of it but leave a few clumps in strategic spots because I do like the pretty bell-like flowers.

That's an absolute beauty! I love the shape of the flowers and the color too. I'm surprised that its not the pink one in the background thats the invasive one - I've known that one to be a real thug! Lovely photo Pat!

Thank you Sue. Yes, they are both invasive and are fighting it out for room to grow, I guess.

I have those too Patsy, and keep yanking them out from where I do not want them to grow. They really are invasive!

In my garden Campanula punctata makes trouble.The photo is from last year, they are not yet in bloom.

Many campanulas are perfectly well behaved, some seed about with abandon and others as Sue says are just thugs. I have some of all types!

Your blue Campanula must be C.rapunculoides. It is a common weed in my garden too. Like yourself I appreciate the gracious 'romantic' look of the flowers, but have to dig out their groundcovering colonies from my borders.
