Those are lovely Ann. I'd be interested in knowing the names and also their sizes - ie. height, etc.

Hi Jodi - right from the top latiloba Faichem Lilac, (2-3 feet), lactiflora Lodden Anna (about 3-4 feet), next two are lactiflora Pritchards variety (5-6 foot), a double white persificolia (3-4 feet), Hidcote Amethyst (3-4 feet) and poscharskyana which is rampant and spreads everywhere and that's the one I wish I hadn't planted!

Hi Ann I have tried to grow Faichum Lilac many times and have failed! :( it is beautiful. What is your secret? Also have you tried Campanula Primulaefolia (spelling may be off there!) that is very beautiful though not so winter hardy.

Hi there - thanks for the comments. My Faichem Lilac is in a very difficult spot - in a dry east facing border overshadowed by next doors conifers. Not the best place but it's doing ok. No secret - just good luck I think! I've not heard of primulaefolia but will look it up.
