For a couple of years now every time I visit the garden center I drool over their fantastic display of hibiscus plants. I've always thought they would be impossible to grow. I'm becoming more and more obsessed with them. Does anyone have experience growing them indoors? I'm hoping they would like my office.

I trust you are talking about the tropical Hibiscus versus the hardy varieties that can only be grown outdoors. I give my tropical Hibiscus a South window with lots of sun and heat. During the Winter I have been letting them rest, just watering, but no fertilizer. Now, that the weather is beginning to warm up, I'll bring them outside to begin the process of getting them use to the temperatures during the day. Once it is in the 50's during the evenings, they can be left outdoors. I also begin their fertilization program again, as well as, spraying for aphids. A good place to read more about these tropical beauties is online through the American Hibiscus Society.
