Was given a seed pod which came from a yellow hibiscus. Unfamiliar with hibiscus having this leaf type. Any thoughts appreciated.Plant Forum

I was given 3 types of Hibiscus seed this Spring. Each one has a different leaf shape. One has a similar one to yours, but it's reddish. This is an African annual 'Red Shield'.

I forgot how small it was last month, lol. The leaves are more deeply cut now.
