Buds fall off

Author Message   Yasmeen  Posted on Friday, August 24, 2007 - 12:07 pm EST :    i got a double hibiscus peah colored about a month ago nd have it in a container.. it started to grow pretty fast n developed loads of buds too but the buds once grow big n show color then just fall off.. none of them has bloomed so far.. i cant signs of any insect on it.. its planted a big container.. i never let it dry out n also allow the soil to drain properly.. planted in full sun.. temp is hot here.. another hibiscus planted in the same sized pot nd receiving full sun is doing well producing blooms.. it isnt much older than this one and is single red variety.. wats wrong ?? Two of them bud but never bloom the rest of the hedge blooms beautifully. They've done this the last two seasons. If you figure it out let me know. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Guess the buds heard my pleading n decided to make me happy.. and m soo soo happy!! Edsboop try doing the same.. talk to ur plant n really really convince it to bloom..
