I'm new to the Hibiscus. Fell in love with the Larger than life blooms!! The owners before planted one in the back yard and one in the front, but I want to move them together on the side of the garage facing South. The nursery book that the previous owners left with me says that they are H. Moscheutas or Giant Hibiscus. They both bloom red. Can I transplant them and when if I can without killing them?! HELP!!

These Hibiscus are perennials; they die back to the ground in the fall, and re-emerge in the spring. Transplanting, or dividing is best done when the are dormant.

I had a feeling after researching them online that it would be safer to do it after they die back, but thank you so much for confirming that! I don't have a green thumb so I didn't want to kill them if I could help it just because I was ignorant. Again Thanks!!!
