This plant is 3 years old and has a huge number of buds this summer.

What a lovely color and what a large bloom, it is much bigger than your hand. I have a new pink one but I don't know if zone 4 weather will be good for it. Do you pot them up for the winter?

In my zone 5 garden these are hardy perennials that die to the ground and come back up late--and so far it has. In colder gardens I think lifting the roots to winter in a frost free area is recommended.

I believe it is 'Disco Belle Pink.' Not all the flowers are as big as the one above. I think the lack of rain we've had the past couple of weeks has caused some of the later blooms to be a bit smaller.

If you hadn't put your hand in the picture I wouldn't have realized how extremely big those blooms are. Very nice, thanks, Mary

The flowers seem to get bigger every year--the two in the photo above are the same size. Also, the stalks get thicker, and I'm guessing that's one reason why the flowers are so large. But I'm sure they can't get much bigger than this.

Here is mine:
It is in a pot, and I water it twice a day in summer. As it is too big, I would like to transfer it in earth. Did anyone tried it? Does this plant support being in earth in Mediterranean climate, very dry in summer?

Some of mine are still hanging in there Marcia. I have the one you've shown...a real beauty. I think my favorite for form is the 'Sweet Caroline.' She's not the biggest but each large petal overlaps the last ruffly one...such a pretty 'girl.' ;)

Really nice Marcia. Those are bigger than my Disco Bells. This season mine have been attacked two times with Saw fly larva. They are hurtin'. I've grown them for 15+ years, this the first infestation of this kind.
