...but I always thought the place had potential.

What a beautiful transformation. You must be so pleased to stand back and admire the fruits of your labors. The garden is so pretty and I like the color you chose for your home, as well. How great that you recognized your diamond in the rough.

Shocked. LOL!

Thank you very much. It was a scary step to start painting it like that.

I shall try. I'm looking forward to much later in the season when the Purple Coneflowers and Black-eyed Susans open, but I really ought to divide them and I'm afraid it might mess up their looks. *sigh*

It must be so satisfying looking at it now DJ. All that planning and effort have paid off BIG TIME! Such a transformation. You now live in a beautiful house with beautiful gardens. Must make it worth all the sleepless nights planning, backaches, tick bites, bruises and bumps.
I notice the wishing well is in the first picture. Has that just been moved or have you done anything with it yet? I have a vision.... a white bicycle propped up against it next to the chicken coop....hehehe.

Thank you, Moira, but I think the only thing I actually put any effort into planning was painting the house orange, and you saw how much help I got with that. (Thank you, everyone!) LOL! Everything else was a case of see it, like it, buy it, get it home, discover there's nowhere to put it, and just cram it into the front yard wherever it would fit. HAHA!

Check out the second picture, way off beyond the rock wall... The greyish rectangle just above the wall is its roof. It is still banished there to the north field. I think I'd sooner eat a bug than put the wishing well next to the chicken coop where I had to look at it several times a day. LOL!
