This whole series of pics has been great. This particular set has a lot of color and your Monarda (is that what the red flower is?) looks fantastic. I have to say that I especially like the way your flowers are in nice tidy clumps. Mine have all run amok, and after having enjoyed the simplicity of the early spring garden, it's all I can do to keep from running the beds over with the mower and starting all over again. LOL! How did you get that stump carved out like that? Just yesterday I was thinking about doing that very same thing to the stump beside the chicken coop path so that it could become an urn.

Glad you enjoyed it :)
I have a few beds I'd like to do that to. I keep telling myself to just wait until I have more time... (pfft...which would be never!)
The tree was dying out from the inside. When they took it down, you could see where the ants had chewed it all up. Most of the wood in there was dead, so I just took my mattox & shovel, chopped & dug out as much as I could. I couldn't see paying $200+ more dollars for them to take the stump out :)
yep, sure is

Somehow it just feels wrong to be thinking, "Oh, you're so lucky!" LOL!
