Thursday 17th Feb must be Spring birds were chirping early this morning. As it was lovely morning decided to make a start to clean out one of my greenhouses and prune back some of my kitchen herbs. Bulbs are popping their wee heads up but think they still make get a cold shock and set back. I took out some of my window boxes which have bulbs planted has dissapeared and its very cold again so maybe best if I pop the boxes back under glass and get the pleasure of the bulbs in the greenhouse here it is much warmer. Also getting the chance to go for a walk in the fresh air since its nice and dry. |

Sat 20th Oct 2007 going to be another nice day which enable me time to tidy up my woodland erea of my garden and finish potting up two planters.
We did not have much of a summer but Oct has been wonderful but getting darker early so you dont have the evening to get work done outside. As you know I went self employed as a Lady Gardener my name is TROWELS so got one more garden to work in and was hoping for Monday and that will be for the season till Spring. But will sow seeds and tend to my own garden and of course crochet. I have started to crochet a jersey for my self in the burst orange yarn so hope I can master this pattern. Also one of my friends has asked if I will crochet hats for her friend to take over to Africa when he visits his family |

31st March seems to be going out like a lamb came in like a lion. Already blue sky and sun out just 8.05am started with a light frost but looks as if we are to have anice day. March came in like a roaring lion so cold . winds and wet. Now its British Summer time our clocks went forward an hour so light at night longer so if in daytime not got all done outdoors can catch up in evening untill 8pm. |
