Saturday morning 20th March pouring of rain not a day to be in the garden. And tomorrow is supposed to be the 1st day of Spring. Hope the sun shines. Well I was a very busy girl today ,I planned to first of all catch up on my ironing and the usual housie things.had to resort to washing in dryer as it was wet as I love to get washing on my line outside in the fresh air. Not to be as still it rained. So went in to my conservatory and took every plant off window sills and washed woodwork swept the floor . Then got a table indoors to use as a workbench, and started to my Mums flral arrangement for Mothers day. So here is a step my step instruction.
I will take another photo before I go on Sunday to see Mum ,still have to put selaphane and a yellow bow on it.I really enjoyed making this today. |

Finally finished making start of my flower port folio for my own reference. Mum's arrangement was well admired by all the care staff and visitors .Some of the visitors relatives even asked if I would make them a personal arrangement if they ever wanted .That made my day when they said it looked so professional and that I had the personal touch. Goodbye Diary till tomorrow when I make my final anything arrangement. Going to use the yellow orchid as my main flower so lets see what colours of flowers I can see on Monday. Oh this is very theraputic and enjoyable.

Tuesday 23rd March What a lovely morning to wake up to blue sky. It looks like a summers day but could still be cold outdoors. You want to wear less when it looks nice. But an old saying in scots is DINNA CAST ACLOOT TILL MAYS OOT. And never a true saying has been said as we can still get a very cold spell April month although it has been known for May in Scotland to be a lovely warm month. June month before plants will go out to their final bed when all frosts should be past. |

Friday 26th March woke up to blue sky and it lasted all day. So I decided I would make a start and clean my two greenhouses every pot got washed and benches swept down. Over the weekend if weather is still could shall get the power washer on to the greenhouses and wash them down. Had some of my Fuchsias out of conservatory and into greenhouse but took them back indoors around 7.30pm temp then was 11degc I even was going about with a teashirt in afternoon and in the early evening without a jumper it was nice. I managed to go for a walk and then come back and make a start and weed my borders. Oh how I love this time of year when you can get outside into the garden. I inherited two white lilac bushes frome neighbours garden they have managed two find their way into my garden but I dont mind as the perfume is so nice. They also have flowering redcurrant bushes but dont like the perfume they send .A bit like domestic cats have been in garden. Still got to plant my vibernum hopefully over the weekend it will be planted. Pampus grass has to be cut back and feed the lawn and general tiding of the garden. Feeling tired now diary had a busy day in the garden .
