While digging out some weed that dare get in it today, was thinking about George. Bet he has been gone 6 years now. cripe, he would of been close to 100. How I did love going to his gardens. George. you taught me alot. I do miss you. My Iris bed is in your memory. You always said if you remove something to replace it.And your flower bed had been removed from where you lived, so. I am replacing it for you. We had some nice talks. |
I do love this barn. I could take pictures of it each and every day.Taken Oct 1. We had sun for a little bit and ofcourse I went running out there to see the pretty sky. hate this time of year. Never want to come back in the house.
Worked on the glass room today. Still trying to organize that. If ti was only 2 foot wider. Oh well. Good light in there. And I can see my barn from there. I could use a hanging light in there maybe. Still want to get that new Saw. That would be so nice. Call Fritz and see if he wants to sell me his maybe huh?
Crushed strawberry foxglove at back of house. 3 there. And 2 I do think at SerenityBench.Its going to be the year of the Foxglove hopefully. Oh my ! Bet there are 45 from seed . They are everywhere. Wonder if any seeds you tossed in down by the brook took hold. Wonder if any seeds you tossed in the side meadow took. Next Spring should be interesting. Lots to see ! |

My Brug!!!!!! it finally bloomed. after what 3 years now. It has more than one flower. No wonder! you took it out of that stupid pot it was in and put it in the earth! I think maybe if it hadn't spent the summer behind those maters it would of bloomed sooner. WOW that is some kind of soil there. 
so, going over to Dee's&Kathy's tomorrow on Baldwin. in her back yard that lady had that HUGE peachy one. Taking my camera and go speak to her and see what she does with hers in the winter. |
So! Up with the sun this morn coming throught the Twins. it was so pretty. Had my morning coffee with my blanket on the porch. Have to keep doing that till the bitter end!
And my glories this morning!!!!!!!  Have to keep the blues! Love LOVE them. I think I like this better than having them covering my house. I think some cement in the ground around this arbor is in order. and maybe repaint another coat of white on it in the Spring. You painted it Easter weekend this year.
Went to see Kathy , oh how she makes me laugh.Got to meet this lady with the brug tree. She said EVERY YEAR. she cuts off the green part. and puts in down her basement by window in water. and digs up the root and throws it away. and plants a stalk in the Spring after frost has past. This plant was 7 foot tall and 7 1/2 foot across she told me. So. am going to try it

I could stork today in class and hold it with out falling. YEAH! and flag too. This turning 50 hasn't been too bad at all . Kathy goes away to Topsail this weekend so. no class all next week. will have to do Yogamazing.
Getting busy with work so. thats good.
Think were going up the mountains on Sunday to Tom& Linda's new place. should be nice . Not supposed to rain. The leaves should be really nice. Shame we aren't going to the Falls. |
Went to Marion's, Her gardens a rare treat as usual. I have learned so very much from her. She gave me some and I put it on the left side of Iris bed. Hope it lives. Japanese something or other and I keep forgetting the name. Its so pretty. graceful. And Blooming now too! so. thats will be nice.
Wacked my Brug  today like she said to do. I got 3 nice big branches and one lil one. Hope I get atleast one plant. I have to read up on this .
So. If I get roots. I am putting this in another spot next year. Where....I don't know. YET!
Work is picking up. Yeah.
Opened a new bank account in town . Because I am 50 I got free checks. OY! Pa..lease! |
keeping in the wacking mode, I took my top back to 4 inches. Its that loverly full moon &CouldNOT stand it one more minute . Feels better, Have to find time for a real haircut. Still have not made up my mind about going red. Monday.Its one or the other.
Having lots of fun with this traveling hair thing.Interesting too . that guys find it ok to show up in their dainties. So far have helped Debbie & Sue rerange their furniture, Loving that.
Tom was here over the weekend.Talkng bout fencing in that back area and doing cows. How fun would that be!!!! W w. |

 Another pretty morn!!!!Love it here! So far October has been so very pretty. Went to the Log Cabin Inn today for lunch. They actually had a table out on the back balcony. Like eating up in the treetops. Very nice.
I moved that red Hardy Hibiscus to back by the compost unit. Hope it makes it. If it gets half as big as Paulines, it will be a monster.
Sounds like cows are in our future. that;s the plan anyways. Might be sorta fun. Just 2. AND a pond. Time will tell. Toms wheels are always tickin.

Sill waiting for that call from the Dixie Chicks to be the 4th chick. Just a singin my lil heart out and car dancing , spending more time in there now. Work has been pretty good. :)

My front jack! Hope it makes it. I think this is the one I moved 3 times. I must of shocked the poor lil thing. Sweet Pauline's is in the same line as mine. so. I am just leaving them where they are.
Not sure what to do with this trellis set up here. Maybe make something and move this. It needs resprayed.
So, I mentioned about painting the green garage. Sounds like its a go. Maybe have to wait til Spring. it would be easier. HAVE to get that mudroom painted and just YOUR luck you are off sunday monday tuesday all you have is back to class. Found that can of Peacock blue paint from the Green House. :( use that with white for ceiling. I'll bet that would make a nice sky blue. |

Had my usual end of the season cry at the park today. Same bench. another year. I feel really old today. Its the weather I guess. hurt . And that darn leaning tree is really leaning anymore. Someday it wil just tip over. 
Not a pretty Fall this year , not like last year. Too much rain.geese were out in full force.Walked around the lake for awhile. Felt good , sorta. Slow down. stay focused, think happy thoughts.
Came home and put porch to bed.
