Have not been here in awhile. What a month it was. Beginning of March, Mingy & I were lucky enough to visit a dear friend for 2 1/2 weeks. One of thee most life changing things to happen to me in 30 years and will always be grateful for. Have moved into a huge home that is an antique shop. Have always wanted to live in a shop. Work the shop & do eBay too . This place is huge. Kitchen is a tad...I have not found the words to explain. Gaudy does not even come close. Ming seems to be adjusting fine. You can learn a lot from your babydog. I am about to find out just how much of a" fishbowl" living in a small town can be. Weather has been great these past few days. But they say snow is coming. Think today they will have EMERGENCY BIKE NITE ! Always warms my soul. Although I have been unpacking, so , have not had a chance to enjoy,. But... I am planning on doing some gardening today. I have the length of 8 sections of fence, and not that wide, that I plan to turn into something. I was able to get some plants I put at the farm , made sure I got a hydrangea, and that hot cocoa rose bush first. Colombine, iris, hollyhocks, a poppy I do think will live, some odds & ends. I have seeds, and containers. So, I shall be fine. Talk about scaling down.! This will be my smallest garden to date. Am thrilled to have a Japanese snow fountain cherry again. Its about to burst forth, Hope the cold weather mid week does not harm it. Have not seen or met the man next door. He must be quite the legend in town. Has the words "FATBOY" across the front of his home. Interesting.... I was hoping it was about his Harley......... I think not ,from what I have heard. Takes all kinds to make the world go around. cant be all bad, he has a hydrangea too. lol. Atleast I know where the best sun will be to plant mine. Should make for an interesting summer. Sat at the park for a good hour catchin some serenity, watching the duck, geese & swans. Felt good to soak in some sun. |

Shame....snow came. This is probably all that will happen. Supposed to snow till Monday. Oh well. Still no DSL , am at www.panerabread.com putting in applications. Home Depot is huge, almost built. Maybe their garden center, Gal I talked with today sounded hopeful. Who knows.. Keeping fingers crossed. Putting in one for here too. There HAS to be Life After Hair! It's depressing not working. no self-worth. Still snowing like crazy. hate these white outs. hard to believe we had 79 Tuesday and now this. Chili for dinner sounds great to me. Lil Ming has had her fill of old man Winter .
Toooooo cold to walk @ park, there's always next week. lol young gal up here with a Powerbook.(SO NICE) I showed her how to do her picture widgets, SHE was impressed! |

Still snowing!!!! Last Easter I painted my arbor, that Angie now has. What a difference in a years time. Got to talk to Erin earlier. She sounds good. Ham is doing it's thing, Elaine & her brothers are home & all the kids. Nice to opt for no confusion today. |

Need to go to www.WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THIS LEFT OVER EASTER HAM.com org net Can't believe its still snowing. Think I said that earlier today. Same weather, different time of day. Oh and still wrong time of day. that reminds me. Still not used to this place, like being locked up in a furniture store overnite. It's not homey, but, there are things for your home. lol. This DSL seems fast. No different than cable far as my lil mind can tell. Mr.Barkey von Schnauzer & the new Easy Button for STAPLES with the guy that says worms.back to back. I needed the laugh. |

Felt good to go to class this morning. Nick & Kathy are moving to Shadyside, but they claim will still be around .Hope so. Man , miss a few classes and fell like ....again. went to Donna's afterwards. I just hate living here. in this... this place, I feel like I am being punished , Nice to go sit in her hottub. lol even if it is in the garage. Al is coming along fine with their sunroom for it. Lil Bently was so glad to see me. What a love, then we blew up some peeps. lol
I so needed a day of smiles. Think tomorrow I'll go to that ortho and see if he is hiring. Donna says her neighbor just quit from there. interesting. That creepy lil man just got here., bringing in more stuff for in here. I don't know where he is planning on putting all this ugly stuff. Just waltzes right in. I don't like him not one little bit and he knows it. And there have been very few people in my 50 years I do not care for. This has been good to be able to write this down & view it. Wonder if I will be able to look back at this and have a changed mind about him & this castle. Doubtful. I need to find a regular job. Glad Donna showed me her secret hiding place for the house key for a fast get away. Maybe once the weather breaks & I can get outside... When I am working again and feeling like a functioning normal person in society. Donna's sister- in-law is going through the same thing. Life after Hair. Gonna check with her temp place too. |

Heard more snow for Monday, but, don't see how with these temps. Ya never know. The kite field was open today at the Park. Everyone was bundled. Nice to just go there & sit & think. Good place to think. That sled riding hill doesn't look as bad once your older. lol. Little Susan's pokin up all over the place. Daddy & Joan are well. had a good visit there. Still feeling a tad punk. |

It's a Monday of all Monday's after a meltdown weekend. "The Longest Journey Begins with a Single Step." So they say. One Day at a Time. Went to see Greg today. I do love my doctor. He is helping me for free . so, that is great,!Going to find some good council hopefully tomorrow. Have been no good to myself lately, Falling apart at the seams here! Felt the castle actually take 2 deep breaths today. Really odd, things crashing down outside. What do they call those? micro burst? Don't think it was THAT bad , but OH! SO much for my hanging glass in that Jap. Cherry tree. And my black birdcage taht I USED to love, maybe that can be fixed. Who knows what else got damaged. Put in application at Kraynacks greenhouse, would be nice to hear from them, Still no follow up word from Home Depot. Time will tell. Don;t think Ming has been feeling her best this past week, she goes to doctors AGAIN Thursday. Poor lil creature, getting old. Oh, What would I do with out her. |

So much for the Iris bed. will try them in pots instead. Put in a back row of hollyhocks that I did from seed from the farm, hope they make it. Look good so far, then, the purple kent bells, and B.E. Susans and maybe a stray coneflower. Not sure if that is what it is or not . Cutting WAY back this year. |
| Mimi Posted on Friday, April 27, 2007 - 08:33 pm: | |
well, maybe this will take, who knows. I do love those purple kent bells, and if the single holly hocks take from seed from Donna;s place, I would be thrilled. I can get a pot or 2 of susans and plop them in later if all else fails. Having a hard time getting excited about my flowers this year. Maybe once I get some pots going I will feel better. and my blue glories. they always put me in a better gardening mood. Wish that last frost date would get here. Well, Saturday I will have the antique shop open from noon till 6, and if its anything like today, thank goodness I had people online stop in cuz no one else did. lol. Or call me up and say the magic word and win something.... lolol. Oh well, Time will tell. Didn't get to the park to walk today either, Maybe hit there first thing in the morning. |

now! isn't that enough to make a gal feel useless!! My first "Dear John "letter from Home Depot. huh. I always got hired at jobs I went for before in my lifetime. Guess I am getting , well, we won't go there. Guess you have to look at it that things happen for a reason. Guess they just weren't interested in having my pretty face work in their flowers. Oh well, maybe they will keep me on file. My friend Joe Baran passed , 88, bet he had 50 years sober. Bless his soul. Joe Stronie too, the other day, in his 90's. That man always had a twinkle in his pretty blue eyes. Time marches on. Have to plant a flower for my guys... new memorial garden here. Something blue for sure. I think, if it ever stops sprinkling, its going to be nice this coming week. I can play in my flowers. I spy some aquilegia coming up from a pot, have to get that in the ground or where ever. Ming is getting better at greeting the guests as they come in, that is if you you are wearing 'scent of canine" on your pant leg. 11 whole people here today, and 45 minutes to go. I know that bus load is comin. The finch food is going down!!!!!!!! they finally found it. yeah! time for some French Roast , Union Coffee break here. read up on bluebirds. |
