Posygal Posted on Monday, November 26, 2007 - 08:13 pm:    Well I figured today after the wash was done, I`d get my butt outside and finish cleaning up my gardens for winter. NOT! It`s been since Sunday night here. I still have trimmings on some plants that need done. Thank goodness all my shrubs and bushes I pruned earlier this year instead of waiting til the last minute. I still have some dead "stuff" to get rid of. I did notice I have a small tuft of candytuft still blooming[is this crazy or what!!]and we`ve had alot of frost. It`s next to the fence, but that couldn`t possibly be enough protection for it. Hmmm go figure. I also wanted to check on my small sedum garden I have. It`s out behind the patio building, impossible to see from the kitchen widows. There were a few plants that needed "something" done with them. Oh my I am way behind. Let ya all know if Imake it out there this week at all. Weather is supposed toturn colder with the start of Dec. Posygal Posted on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 - 10:29 am:    Well even though the sun is shining this morning there will be no working in the gardens for me!! It`s 22 degrees out there. Hopeing it will warm up with the sun so bright.-----------Before this cold spell I did manage to get some new iris bulbs in and some "lacy" tulip bulbs planted. I recued my elephant ears just in time. The next night we had our first frost. Really hated to dig it up, it went crazy this year on size!! Hmmm could this be a day for Christmas shopping? I know I know, if I could put the darn lights up why not get to the gardens!! I am tomorrow!! [PROMISE TO MYSELF!] Posygal Posted on Thursday, November 29, 2007 - 07:21 pm:    Well accomplished alot today in my gardens, til the darn wind picked up and the temp. went from 52 degrees down to 38 in a matter of a couple hours! Supposed to get rain, sleet, and snow all mixed together over night. Hmmmm this should be interesting to deal with! AND with the holidays so close, I havn`t had time to go out and look at my gardens. Busy busy busy.
