Someones from my collection this summer.
We have a very strange summer this year, not a lot of sun or heat, but sometimes rain, like this week. Nevertheless dahlias look so nice.

I love them all. The third one looks like a dainty little poodle, all nicely landscaped and dyed in pink. The fourth one looks like a nightlight glowing from within. Number seven looks like a carpet of desert cacti in bloom. And number nine... well, I have a thing for anything orange.

Many thanks to you all. Heirloomgardens, very poetic descriptions. They sounds to me like Mozart's music...

I remember some of the very first photos you posted here on Gardenbuddies were your dahlias, Mariae. My garden has been drenched in rain the past few weeks it seems. What wonderful dahlias you have! And no sign of pests (earwigs/slugs)eating them either. I love the beautiful waterlily-type in Photo #7. Do you know the name?

Beautiful one and all. I like the yellow with pinkish edges especially. Very nice! Your summer sounds a lot like ours, Marie. Cooler and less sunny than usual, a bit of rain. And yet such beautiful blooms.

Many thanks to you all. At least, we had 10 rainy days, only the rivers and snails were happy, but yesterday was warm and the sun shined again, the thing is for how many days?
