Wiliam- There are no "piker" dahlia growers, LOL. We all grow for the love of the dahlia. There is nothing quite like the unfuring of a dahlia bloom. Especially if it is a seedling or a new dahlia you have never grown before.

Bigcityal the dictionary says a piker is= one who does things in a small way. Linda I agree with you,you are so right but I would never invite you to see my dahlias they are so common. Bill

Bill- you just need to get some dahlias from a good supplier - they grow just as easily as the "common" ones. Look at the Colorado Dahlia Society site for a list of dahlia suppliers- most sell a lot of really good quality ones & when you go with someone who specializes in dahlias you pretty well know you're going to get good ones. A lot of the US suppliers ship to Canada, too.
