You don't have to be an expert to grow clematis from seed, even ordinary amateurs, such as you, or I, can manage it. But next Summer you can go one step further, and hybridise your own plants, if you wish. You don't need a degree in Botany, or complex technical equipment! Wow, I love it! Wonderful detail in the diagrams and photos, Brian, and great explanations of the process. The charts are wonderful, too! I hope I can get organized and enthusiastic about trying this when the flowers start forming next year. Will you please encourage us again at that time??

I haven't tried my own pollinations yet, but your site and explanation of the process is extremely helpful to us beginners, Brian. I'll most likely try it this summer. In fact, I know I will ! Hmmmm, which two shall I cross ? Thank you ! Suzy
