Today it is 27 degrees outside and my Wayside Hibiscus 'Cloud Nine' is safely warm in my dining room and set out her first blossom. Hope you all bought one when she was on sale this summer.
Now with all the seedlings we all have going, I am hoping for a softly shaded pink clematis with wide, ruffly-edged tepals and this stunning rich rosy center. With The First Lady, we have this in blue, but I'm wanting it in pink.
So I'm excited to see all the new seedlings being created right now in our germination processes.

Duh, I'm still so asleep I posted that under the wrong thread. It was meant to go under the Mary Rose thread! Now where is my expresso?! Scilla, I think you have mentioned that wish before. With all of the seeds we've potted up this year who knows what will happen. I can't believe you got that hibiscus to bloom inside! I can never bring stuff inside and get it to bloom, I tried one year with a Mandevilla but lost it. Katie

Scilla, your Hybiscus is gorgeous ! I don't have enough indoor light to grow them, unfortunately. I've lost 3 plants through the years. My orchids (Phaleonopsis types) don't seem to mind my low light, so now they're my winter stars. Priscilla, I LOVE The First Lady ! Wow, what a pretty color of blue ! Now you know I just love pink, but this pale sky blue is stunning ! Suzy

Katie, I did bring my Mandeville inside to bloom one year and it was wonderful, until it got white fuzzy whatevers all over it. Tossed that out right away. Haven't bought one since, but the photo of this pink hibiscus caught my eye, so decided to try the indoor blooming big plant again and hope it doesn't get the white fuzzies. Yich!!! And Suzymac, I can't keep an orchid! Don't know why, but they die. Janet, I'm hoping for a photo of your buddleia anifolia this next year. Mine arrived with about 4 sticks. One stick had a leaf on it. Wowie.

Scilla my buddleia was just a twig also but really grew. One piece died last spring when I moved it because it was getting so big. I always under estimate plant size and have to move things.
