Seed catalogs are arriving, spring plans are developed, and the light is showing at the end of the tunnel. THE DAYS ARE FINALLY GETTING LONGER! All we have to do is get through the two coldest months of the year, and then we can then get out in the garden to do some serious pruning of the group threes and clean up the gardens. We are out of here for most of January and for three weeks in February. Need to do some scuba diving and visit relatives down south. I usually come back with a van full of plants from the MS gulf coast in late February. Think spring!

Beautiful picture Bill ! It sounds like you'll be having great fun while you're waiting for spring. We leave for Florida february 1st and I can't wait. When we return, spring will be just around the corner ! This is going to be the best year for my clematis, I can feel it. Suzy

Hi Bill ! I wish you (and all Gardenbuddies) a Merry Christmas and a Happy and peaceful New Year. Also I wish you a nice diving vacation ! It is very important with a nice break now during the dark wintertime. We do also refuse to live here in Norway during the dark time in November and December and every year we hurry away to Madeira / Portugal to get some sun and warmth. Today we had -11 C and 5 cm snow and we just got back from Madeira where we had 20 C in the Atlantic and 21 to 25 in the air. We had a great time even if we did not dive. Here you see a picture from our quarter.

Bill, take me with you! I'm a certified Scuba Diver! It snowed here today! Pretty, but you know how it is. I did spend my warmer days here when it was 40-45 putting up wire for my Montana in the front. I bet my neighbors thought I was putting up Christmas lights. Which I could have, but I was more focused on getting the vine separated and wrapped around the wire. Looking forward to spring and I always get very happy after December 22nd. Yippee! Longer days. We do have plans to go to San Diego to a friends DD wedding. I have a niece down there too. So I guess that will get me into some sunshine and warm temps for awhile. Have a super time!
