They are fairly common, a bunch of them are growing in the lawn. DH brought these two into the veranda because he disapproved of the snails munching on all of them. They are edible (not that I've ever tried).

Great photos Ann. I especially like the second-to-last one, with the bumps. I think I know what it is in German, but not in English. I'm an ignoramus when it comes to fungi, but DH knows them fairly well. He immediately identified the verdigris one in the lawn. I think the name is appropriate - it's the same image in German too.

Oh ladies I have only just come here to see all your fungi photos. They are superb!! I have long since had an interest in gungi and spend many an hour in the woods with the kids looking for fungi at this time of year.love the puffballs and the deceiver photo ;)
