I have gathered all my seed for this year and I have some leftovers for those who are really interested. I hate to waste any seed ! The first people to respond will get this seed because it is very limited. These seeds are the left-overs from some of my own plantings. Next to each clematis name you will see the number of packets which signifies how many people I have enough seeds for.
1 packet = 1 person.
2 packets = 2 persons, etc....
Thus, I may be able to accommodate several people on some, but not on others. First come first served, I guess.
Ok, here's what I have:

The President or Jackmanii- 1 packet
Misc. Large Flowered Hybrids- 1 packet
Minuet-3 packets
Romantica- 1 packet
Guernsey Cream,I think! - 2 packets
Ivan Olsson- 1 packet
Wada's primrose- 1 packet
Blue Boy and maybe one unknown, 1 packet
Prince Charles- 1 packet

Let me know if you are interested and I will send you what I have. I have over-planted yet again, and I must try to get rid of this seed, lest I plant it all !
Everything here should be interesting.

Maarten, here are some sites for you to study:
Clematis from Seed
http://www.richardsdad.btinternet.co.uk/index.htm

Common questions about clematis:
http://faq.gardenweb.com/faq/clematis/

Briefly, clematis do not root in water.
The seedheads vary from plant to plant. It is important that the seed be ripe before collecting it.
This is a photo of clematis seedheads, not yet ripe. They turn fluffy when ripe.

This photo shows a ripe seedhead with the seeds separating from the cluster. (in December)

Silithil, it is also important to know which seeds are the good, viable seeds. The 'big, fat' seeds are the ones that will germinate when they ripen. The small, undeveloped ones will NOT germinate. Some clematis are not good seed producers and others can be very good. Here is a seed-head with two good seeds developing. These are not yet ripe. They must turn brown before collecting them. The seeds should come off easily into your hand when they are ripe:

Suzy, if no one else takes you up on your offer of seeds, PC was such a success for you, I'll take them off your hands.

If no one has claimed them, I would be happy to make a try with Minuet.

Thanks so much.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post this earlier, but the Prince Charles seeds were spoken for in an e-mail from Katie this afternoon. I wish I had more to offer !
Anne, the Minuet seeds will be sent to you with Brian's seed shortly. I have several Minuet seedlings which will bloom next summer, so we can compare ours.
Ivan Olsson just went to Susan Q.

Suzy, I have a couple babies that made it past the critical stage of my learning from last years seeds. Only the tree rats keep digging them up and taking the markers. I am so excited I have seeds this year thanks to everyone advice here. I tucked them all in nicely this last week so I'm excited to see what I get. Again thank you all!

Today, I wrapped all the seeds and addressed the envelopes. You should all be getting your seeds soon. All I need to do now is get them to the Post Office.
Good luck everybody !

Suzy,

Thank you so much! It's very exciting to be starting a whole new experimental phase of clematis seeds. Are they quite easy to start from seeds? I have never done this kind of thing before. Thank you once again in your generosity of sharing! :)

Linda, it will take approximately 9-12 months to germinate these seeds. Once you have the seeds planted in pots and moistened, just slip a zip-lock bag over them to keep the moisture in for the very loooooong wait.
Happy planting.
