This beauty resulted from a cross between the very hardy Canadian variety Morden Blush X Gold Marie '82. I have named this rose in honor of my aunt in which also loved gardening. I was hoping to get this plant to market though, it has proven to be somewhat unstable in bloom form.

Ohhh, what a shame, it is so pretty, and we so need more hardy roses here in Canada. Keep trying for us.

It is a beauty. How long have you been growing it? I've seen inconsistent bloomform on many roses before they became well established. Lucille Ball (ht) form was pretty bad the first 5 years. Only a couple blooms out of a couple dozen per flush would have good form. Now almost every bloom of 50+ per flush looks great. Just a thought.

Digger, this is a seedling from back in 1998. The first few years it had performed very well and looked most promising! Then one year it decided to throw a stem which had striped blooms! I've also found the flowers can be so FULL of petals they can literally burst! Through selection of cuttings I've been able to stabilize the flower color though, the bursting problem remains. Just the same, it's a special rose to me with wonderful coloring! Joan, I've begun to concentrate on developing very HARDY roses for other such COLD climates. I'm especially interested in producing a nice yellow with good repeat! Terry

That is a gorgeous rose! I love the color combo it has going for it. Stan
