I collected around a zillion seeds here, and have no intention of germinating all of them. Any takers? I'd be happy to just mail them out. I collected them this week, and, if you care, can tell you what's near them, parent-wise.

Yes, Mike, I'd be interested. It's my first time planting from seed, so if there are others with more experience, I don't mind waiting til you hear from them. I have some planted from Brian, Suzy, Miguel, Marcia, Jodi and have my fingers crossed.

Mike, I would love to have some seeds too!

Also, Hunnerbun, I love your sheltie! I have one too and have had his picture on the website near my name at the beginning of my posting in Garden buddies.

While on my weekend trip to my sister's house out of state, I discovered he had a big gash in his side. I was able to take him to a really nice vet who has an English accent. He was so sweet with my 5 year old Sheltie. The surgery cost $378.00. I thought he had been clawed by one of our cats in scuffle, but he was impaled by something.

So now I give him hot pack treatments 6 times a session and he is on anti-biotics. The stitches came out and his two wounds are open. (This was told to me as a warning that this might happen as the skin was dying that the vet stitched him up with.) I hope I can get him healed before my next week's visit to our home vet so that he doesn't get stitches again.

They are costly! I have put t-shirts on him to keep him from his wounds, but he chews through the sleeves. So we got wiser and wrapped white sheet strips around his torso and safety pinned the t-shirt sleeve to the sheeting.

So he leaves it alone. Just now my vet called to know how many antibiotics I have left. So that he can give me more when I run out this coming week.

It looks like he was impaled by his own doing by chasing something in our yard and ran into a hawthorn tree that my 13 year old son had pulled out of our yard. It was a self seeded bush from our neighbor's yard.

So we think he ran into the branches and and then backed up, so the first entry wound got more lacerated.

Anyway, this vet in my sister's town was so kind and just held my dog's head to his forehead. I had never seen that kind of caring before. Also, when he called me after I was home, he told me to give my dog a big hug from him.

So I did!

Mike, looking forward to trying your seeds. I am so hoping for a blue clematis.

Karalyn, sorry to hear of your sheltie's injury. Hope it heals without any more trips to the vet, as yes, they can get costly.

Could I have some?
But I don't live in USA.
Last spring I have germinating some seeds,
but didn't survived in the summer. I Would like to try again.

Karalyn,

I have a few of each left after mailing. If you email me your address, I'll send these off to you. I'm going out of town Thursday, so it might be after that, however.

Mike do you have any of the seeds left? I just saw this post. I have lots of the Clematis 'Golden Harvest' if you are interested.

Mike, got your seeds yesterday. Great Christmas present. Thanks so much. With all the debate about planting with or without fungicide, I think I'll try these without and hope for success. Have a great holiday season.
