Denise's little daughter sent me two bags of Xmas gifts for the bowerbirds. A bag of blues for the Satins and a bag of yellows for the Regents
I thought this was the sweetest thing.

That was so sweet! I hope you don't mind but I filtered your picture. Sometimes in lower light situations the picture gets a tad grainy which I know happens to mine :). My pictures are rarely good enough to filter tho LOL

Thanks DW. I am relieved you didn't iron him out too flat ^_^

Tanya - the blues and yellows are to decorate with.
The Satin likes blue whereas the Regent likes yellow.
The Satin also loves sparkling things and tried to grab a shiny clip out of my hair.
You will see that the Satin Bowerbird below has mainly clothes pegs which they love.

what beautiful photos Carolyn. Seeing all the noise in your photo makes me wonder what iso you are using? Maybe for your darker conditions you need a slighter higher film speed? Love the regent photo!

Carolyn, is he holding a bit of the blue fabric? I can't tell. I know you said your put out the plastic egg.
Anyway, thanks for posting this. The Bowerbirds' habits are fascinating!
