Back at Martinmere today the weather was somewhat dull. But life is never dull around my favourite wildfowl, the Long tailed Duck. The first three photos are of the 2 females
and one of the even more gorgeous male

No wonder they're your favorite! Beautiful photos of a gorgeous duck. I love them all, but especially the first one.

Such a pretty girl Annette! I like the second one where she looks like she's about to ask you something :)

The second one does have a lot of expression, but so does the third. Beautiful, Annette. The reflections on the male have an interesting effect -- it could be an ad for a Victoria's Secret lingerie catalog. I probably wouldn't have noticed this ordinarily, but I've been thinking about Treanna's "Rejected Christmas Gift" thread in the Social Gallery.

Beautiful, Annette. I had been missing your wonderful shots. This is a duck we have in common but we rarely see them on fresh water. Thanks for sharing. Doug
