I made this for dinner tonight. It is squid marinated in sesame oil, soy sauce and a sweet red chili paste. It was stir fried with green onions, red bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic and ginger. Served over rice and accompanied by a cold bean sprout and sesame salad.

I do like squid too, Greg. Unfortunately, it's usually deep-fried with an
orange honey aioli at the restaurant where our daughter works.
I've never made it at home - it looks delicious. I enjoy its chewy texture.

Your dish looks delish Greg. I love squid particularly in Thai dishes but I've never tried to prepare it at home. I find it a bit intimidating. I watched a program once that showed you how to clean it properly - it seemed like a messy job. I suppose I could always pay extra and get them to clean it for me at the fish market. Anyway that looks so good.

I buy squid from my local asian store. It comes with just the body (the tube) and it is cleaned and frozen. Actually, it's very fresh as it's basically fresh frozen inside a half inch of ice. All I do is thaw it out, slice it up and cook it (very quickly to keep it tender).

I too like squid, but not deep fried. I love stir fry with just about anything! And sesame oil is the greatest. Frequently I'll add a few cashews to my stir fry as well. I could eat a handfull....but better not to!
