Repaint that ole bugger and attach it to the wall next to the Rose Arbor and plant Clematis "Claire De Lune" for it!!

Jeanne,

This is a better picture of your gate as your last one didn't show the details on the top part of the gate. I'd love to get my hands on a section like that. Looks like Claire is doing well now that the flowers are gone, but I suppose you have a better chance for rebloom than I do. I bought her as Silver Moon on Mother's Day weekend and she is going to bloom here soon. She and Dawn are sitting next to a weird trellis in the shade that my son & I put together a few years ago. I had Princess Diana, Madame Edouard Andre & a wild clem (forget botanical name, common is virgin's bower)planted here with a grape vine and wintercreeper, before I knew these clem varieties liked more sun. Diana is doing much better in a pot by a sunnier arbor, but I think what the other I dug up and potted was the wild one and MEA had died last year, but one will never know if it might come back again.
