Not many nurseries here sell Kniphofias as they aren't really hardy here, but I got a cheap plant at Walmart and it has a flower bud!
I'll be happy to have it as an annual :)

Oh I'm having such fun watching this flower develop!
I assumed it would be the common red and yellow poker - but look - it's all orange!
