I bought this red hollyhock last year on a field trip to Park Seeds in South Carolina and it was supposed to bloom last year.
No luck. All winter it grew and grew and is now about 8 feet tall. It opened up yesterday and it was worth the wait.

That's lovely Mary. I think I have a pink one opening soon that I grew from seed last year. No flowers last for me either.
