I've not grown this annual before. My local nursery had a stunning display pot. The colors are like something out of a sci-fi movie!

You can collect seeds very easy and the seeds germinate very well. You get different colors from your seeds. Beautiful plants.

Cool season or cool climate garden only. In California they didn't even like it when the weather got to be 70 degrees! There is a great seed strain with the name 'Gloomy Rival'. The name alone made me want to grow it. Sort of like an Edward Gorey name.

I found they didn't do well in my garden by the middle of summer! They are beautiful, though.

I grew them from seed last year - deep purple ones and they were stunning - until the heat hit. Then they just kind of quit and I was lucky to get one bloom a week.
