What can anyone tell me about the ornamental oregeno. Espically the one called "Kent Beauty" I am absolutly taken by this plant and am dying to get some since I heard it is a June to Sept. plant. Any info I would appreciate. TIA

It's a beauty. But like other oreganos, it's a Mediterranean plant, so would perform best if it is in lean well-draining soil in sun, with little to moderate watering (your rainfall alone is likely enough). It is somewhat stoloniferous, so your clump will spread over time.

I grow this, but I find it marginally hardy for me, regrowing each year, but weakly. So instead I grow it in pots and store it in the garage for the winter. Here it is in its beginning stages of growth. It becomes beautiful once it fills out, which it does so quickly:

I also grow O. dictamnus, O. calcaratum and O. pulchellum, though none are particularly interesting to look at for a few more weeks.
