This is my first Rudbeckia to bloom for the season and it is one of my favorites due to the coloration of the center. I like the interest of the center browns and burgundys. The foliage on this rudbeckia is my least favorite as it flops a lot and is much finer than the Goldstrum, which stands up beautifully. right now since it is the first, it is the star. Mary

I grew these from seed last year Mary and I agree they are great garden standouts, especially with the subtle blending of chocolate and burgundy to go with the vivid yellows. Some of mine bit the dust with the winter cold but enough of them survived to stay with us...although our's won't be like yours until much later this summer:-)
