This forum has been a little slow lately, I expect because we're all outside watering most of the day, or bemoaning the fate of any new plants put into the ground year. So here's a pot of Kent Beauty oregano which has shrugged off the constant heat, sun and lack of moisture. I realize now it would have been a better picture if it hadn't been taken on the deck of similar color. Oh, well; enjoy.

Very attractive. How do you plan to deal with it in the winter?

It's hardy to my zone, so I just stick it in the detached garage once frost hits. I have 3 other ornamental oreganos that I have to baby through the winter in the basement under lights. They hate this and often die in the late winter.

I will have to look for this one, Mike! I love the pot (I have some just like it). I bought some for table decorations. Did you know they are 75% off at JoAnn now?

Hmm, must be a Wisonsin store? Not sure what that is, but I got them at the end of last season nicely discounted (though perhaps I could use more...)

Great photo Mike! I had 3 on order since spring from a local nursery (I saw a photo of the plant over the winter and had to have it)and they just got them in. I'm going to plant them in the ground and hope they overwinter for me.

Nice! I got my first small starts recently at a Swap - and just tucked them into a mixed pot - but they sort of got lost. Now I know what to do with them...so they can really stand out, thanx. I have a couple pots similar to that too - so perhaps you are starting a planting tradition here! I'm thinking I'll bring in all my pots on warning of a harder frost. So far most everything in pots seems OK - with the couple of light frosts we've had, since they are watered well and near the house. I don't think I can stand waiting till spring to un-pot, re-arrange and re-plant the pots however, but I suppose I should. (You'd think I'd just want to work on cuttings now - but I like to follow my whims)
