Hi Room, Earlier this season and for the first time ever, I planted 2 butterfly bushes. They are doing great. My concern however, is that 4 weeks ago, I planted an additional 3 more (buy one get 2 FREE, so clearly I had no choice but to get them), very well established (approx. 5 foot plants) bushes, yet their leaves are almost completely yellowed after planting. They were planted no differently than the previous bushes. The only differences between the first set and this set of bushes, was the first two plants were younger and smaller plants. Sunlight, soil, watering are not an issue. The branches on the 2nd set, appear sturdy, have excellent coloring, and do not look or feel soft or weak. There are some blooms, but I am fairly confident they are from the original budding at the time of purchase. Not sure if it was their size, time/season of planting, or shock. I know I have to cut them back after first frost... I just hope they come back. Any input??? thanks a bunch...
