(Platycodon grandiflorus), a seedling I grew this spring, blooming for the first time. I think I've seen similar images on the web, but kind of interesting!

Marcia, I have never seen that plant with the variegated coloring like that. I love it. Did you start from seed?

Yes, I started from seeds, but I don't have a record of what variety or where I got the seeds! I'll be interested to see if any other blossoms are splotched or (if it survives the winter) future seasons produce similar flowers. If it sets seeds before freezing weather arrives, I'll have some to share.
