When I parked up outside the building where we have the show, a friend of mine told me that before I unloaded the car, I must go and see something special on the sales bench. A guy from Holland (I think) had brought some very special plants to sell. I have very few bought plants in my collection as I prefer to grow from seed, but when I saw these plants, I had to have two of them. They are a pure silver leaved form of Cyclamen creticum. It's a spring favourite of mine, and I've never seen plants with leaves like this before. I would love to visit Crete in spring to see C. creticum in flower - went as a child, but not to look at plants!
Also had a few plants to pick up which I ordered whilst on my visit to Tile Barn a few weeks ago. They came from a grower in Holland originally. The photo below is a form of C. purpurascens which has been given the name 'Green Ice'. Not sure about cultivar names being given to plants like this, but I have been aware of its existence for some time, and am very pleased to have it in my collection. Work will now start to bulk up on stocks of it. Also picked up a plain leaf form of Cyclamen colchicum.

Two beauties, I really like that first one too. It sounds like it was a terrific day. Thanks for sharing the event with us.

They are wonderful - it made me smile to think of you being so tempted by these that you just had to have them!
